Burning Wishes, the fantastic four part series for Storyland 2015, is now available to watch in it’s entirety on RTEplayer.

Directed by Vincent Gallagher from a script by Cian McGarrigle,  ‘Burning Wishes’  stars Mark Doherty, Colum McDonnell and Barry Murphy in a black comedy about death, friendship and grave-robbing.

Ne’er-do-well brothers Seamus and Martin Geraghty promise to honour their friend Paudie’s deathbed request and scatter his ashes at their favourite childhood spot. After letting him down in the past this is one promise to Paudie that Seamus is determined to keep even when Paudie winds up buried instead of being cremated.

Produced by Ailish McElmeel for Deadpan Pictures, with JJ Rolfe lensing and Barry Gorey supplying the music, the series was edited by Martha Meyler here at Screen Scene. Ken Galvin looked after the Sound Post, Warren Dowling onlined and Donal O’Kane was the HD Colourist.

RTÉ and the Irish Film Board are releasing a total of five new original online dramas as part of the new Storyland run, with a new series released each Monday over the next five weeks.
