John Carney’s ‘Sing Street’ nominated for Golden Globe December 12, 2016

John Carney’s critically acclaimed Sing Street has been nominated for Best Motion Picture in the Comedy or Musical category at the 2017 Golden Globes!

The nostalgic musical, which was written and directed by Carney, underwent full picture and sound post here at Screen Scene and Ardmore Sound last year. 

Starring Ferdia Walsh- Peelo, Lucy Boynton, Jack Reynor, Maria Doyle Kennedy and Aidan Gillen, the film was Produced by Martina Niland, Anthony Bregman, Paul Trijbits, Christian Grass and John Carney.

The film made its world premiere at the Sundance Film Festival back in January, where it opened to rave reviews, going on to earn an astounding 97% fresh score on review aggregator website Rotten Tomatoes and taking in over $8m at the worldwide Box Office.

Screen Scene would like to congratulate all involved on the well-deserved Golden Globe nomination, and wish John Carney and co the best of luck when the winners are announced on the 8th of January 2017.
