Moving documentary ‘School Life’ selected for AFI Docs 2017 June 13, 2017

Moving documentary feature School life (formerly known as ‘In Loco Parentis‘) has been selected to screen at this year’s AFI DOCS Film Festival.

The prestigious documentary film festival will take place in Washington from June 14th-18th, with 103 films from 28 countries in this year’s programme.

‘School Life’ tells the story of Headfort, Co. Meath; the last remaining boarding school for primary age children in Ireland.

Following a year in the life of the staff and pupils, the film focuses particularly on two of the longest-serving staff members, John and Amanda Leyden.

The film, which premiered at the 2017 Sundance Film Festival, was Graded by Donal O’Kane and Mixed by Garret Farrell here at Screen Scene,
