“The shortlist for the 2017 Emmy Awards has been announced!”

We are delighted to report that for the second year in a row, Ripper Street has been shortlisted for Outstanding Visual Effects in a Supporting role, while Black Sails has been shortlisted in the category of Outstanding Special Visual Effects!

Screen Scene is proud to have worked as VFX vendors on both shows.

Screen Scene provided VFX and On Set Supervision for all five seasons Ripper Street, with our work receiving a multitude of award nominations & wins to date, including a BAFTA & VES nomination.

Black Sails was a multi-vendor project headed by Erik Henry for Starz, with our team working alongside some great VFX houses.

Speaking on the shortlist announcement this morning, Screen Scene Visual Effects Supervisor Ed Bruce said “It’s always a testament to our teams’ craft, skill & creativity to be placed alongside such a high standard of TV Shows. We’ve always prided ourselves in leading the way within the Irish Visual Effects Industry”.

Massive congratulations to everyone involved with Ripper Street from Amazon Prime, the BBC & our friends in Tiger Aspect. Also huge kudos to the Black Sails team of Erik Henry, Terron Pratt & Starz.

All of us here at Screen Scene will wait with bated breath until the Emmy nominations are announced on July 13th.
