‘The Farthest’ to close Dark Skies Film Festival in July June 20, 2017

Stunning┬áDocumentary ‘The Farthest’ will screen at ‘Dark Skies: A Festival Of Science Fact And Fiction Film’, which will be hosted by the Irish Film Institute next month (July 13th-16th).

Written and directed by Reynolds, ‘The Farthest’ chronicles the four-decade work of nuclear-powered probes Voyager 1 and Voyager 2, which have travelled over 22 million combined miles since leaving Earth to study the outer solar system.

Powerful, poetic and cinematic, THE FARTHEST celebrates these magnificent machines, the men and women who built them and the vision that propelled them further than anyone could ever have hoped.

Produced by John Murray and Clare Stronge for Crossing the Line Films, our very own Steve Fanagan was the re-recording mixer, sound designer and supervising sound editor for the film.

The Farthest will screen Sunday July 16th at 8 pm, with Director Emer Reynolds in attendance. Other films screening at the festival include ‘The Right Stuff’ and ‘The Andromeda Strain’.

Tickets are available from the IFI Website
