Adrienne Gallagher, long regarded as one of the more amazing people I’ve had the good fortune to meet in my life, has just hit a career milestone: Today she celebrates thirty years of dedicated service and gainful employment with our eternally grateful group!
Seemingly dipped in a fountain of youth at the moment of birth, Adrienne, who (terrifyingly) looks barely a day older than thirty even now, started out as the accounts person for Tommy Ellis Sound Recording Studios in 1982.
Wearing pastel coloured suit dresses with provacative shoulder pads (as was the style at the time), young Adrienne has often been compared to an unstoppable accounts version of Good Will Hunting, balancing books like an absolute boss while using an accounting system known as Kalamazzo, an antiquated style of book keeping that relied heavily on punch cards and animal sacrifice.
When it was decided enough animals had died, Screen Scene head of accounts, Mura O’Byrne, stepped in to bring her up to speed with a computerised accounting package, which she took to like a duck (or elegant, blonde haired swan) to water.
An indispensable, integral part of the part of the team for decades, Adrienne was with us when Screen Scene bought Tommy Ellis studios in the year 2000, and currently handles the Digital Space account, as well as chipping in for Screen Scene and Observe whenever it’s needed and being a mother to all who need love.
Bright and bubbly, fresh faced and frivolous, smart as a scientist and vibrant as an ear shattering hymn to life, Adrienne reeks of expensive exotic perfume and pure unbridled heroism. A joy to work with, as well as to behold, her amiable nature and skin searing warm heartedness could haymaker a smile onto the mouth even the most dour of depressives.
A true hero for the ages, and not just this week, Screen Scene salutes you.
Hope you enjoy wearing the cape as you strut around the pool in your Portuguese villa next week, you rogue headed so and so, you’ve earned it!
HEART!
