OPERATION TRANSFORMATION

After a gruelling eight weeks for our five leaders which tested them physically, emotionally as well as examining their determination limits, the climax of Operation Transformation is finally here. How many of our five leaders and the groups that followed them reached or surpassed their target weight? Over and above the weight loss how many of them feel that they have brought about a meaningful transformation in their life and health?

Thousands across the country signed up to join the leaders in the diet and fitness plans and nest week’s final programme reveals some striking statistics about the success of this nationwide campaign. The Operation Transformation experts Karl Henry, Dr Eva Orsmond, psychologist Dr Eddie Murphy and motivational expert Enda McNulty give their final assessment of the five leaders and provide some valuable advice about maintaining weight loss and goal focus.

For the past eight weeks a transformation of a different kind was undertaken at Screen Scene to accommodate the ambitious project explains Project Coordinator Sarah Caraher “An entire attic of one of our Georgian houses became home to a 4 person edit team, along with producers, directors, production assistants and scriptwriters.  Rushes were fed to the facility from around the country electronically via our high speed 100Meg internet line, along with file based rushes arriving on drives. With shooting continuing right up to the day before TX, the challenge was on to turnaround an hour of television in an extremely tight timeframe.  Our recent investment in a second Facilis Terrablock storage solution allowed the 4 avid edit suites to work at broadcast resolution, which in turn seamlessly integrated with the online and sound mix suites.  With the offline edit finishing on Tuesday night, an hour long broadcast master was delivered to RTE for TX on Wednesday evening.  Well done to all involved!”
