It seems like only yesterday I was a pudge bellied tyke taking a magnifying glass to tar markers outside the family home. Now here I am, two weeks shy of twenty seven, ancient and old and sweaty and gross, ravaged by the relentless onslaught of the ticking clock. Yep, time sure does move fast boys and girls, as clearly evidenced by the fact that Super Garden’s latest series is already at its half way point.
Tomorrow nights episode sees Jack-of-all-trades Benny Maguire design a garden for a couple Glasnevin. Walled on three sides, the classic urban garden is in what I would call “a bit of jocker”, over run with weeds and sprinkled in builders rubble. The homeowners are hoping to grow vegetables and entertain friends in the garden once it’s been re-done, but with the spot in such a state of disarray it seems our beloved Benny well and truly has his work cut out for him! Chuckle...
Produced by Gary flood (Vision Independent Productions) and Directed by Jack Britton, Super Garden completed post-production here at sunny Screen Scene, where the extremely cuddly Ciara Brophy edited, mischievous Mark Fitzpatrick handled the sound mix, Warren “Bears be growling” Dowling Onlined, and Áine “Clothes are racy” Casey co-ordinated post production. Steve “Trick up me sleeve” Curran was head of production for VIP.
Don’t miss Super Garden tomorrow night at 7.00pm, RTÉ 1!
