Aisling Walsh’s BBC television drama ‘Loving Miss Hatto’ will feature as part of the BBC 1 Christmas line up.
The €2m Victoria Wood-scripted drama is a biopic of reclusive British pianist Joyce Hatto, whose husband was responsible for a notorious musical fraud, passing off dozens of recordings by other artists as his wife’s work.
Produced by Ireland’s Octagon Films and Britain’s Left Bank Films, the film was shot on-location in Dublin and Wicklow. Francesca Annis (The Libertine) plays the eponymous Joyce Hatto, while former Doctor Octopus Alfred Molina (Spiderman 2) plays her husband Barrie. Other cast members include Rory Kinnear (Quantum Of Solace, Skyfall), who plays young Barrie and Maimie McCoy (Wallander, The Libertine), who plays young Joyce.
Full picture and sound post production on the project has taken place here at Screen Scene and Ardmore Sound.
Edited by Alex Mackie with Dermot Grace assisting, Gary Curran supplied the Grade with Warren Dowling Finishing. John Stevenson was Sound Designer on the project, with Michelle Cuniffe editing the Dialogue. Final Sound Mix was completed by Garret Farrell in Screen Scene’s Centre Stage.
