Department of Justice – Domestic Violence

Assembly and Cawley Nea TBWA have teamed up to bring us this provocative new ad campaign for the Department of Justice and Equality that asks: If you witnessed domestic Violence, what would you do?

Directed by Oscar winner Benjamin Cleary, the campaign aims to change attitudes and to ensure men and women didn’t feel isolated, with the campaign insight, ‘You’re not a Bystander, You’re a Witness’, informing bystanders of their role in decreasing and preventing domestic violence.

Produced by Rebecca Bourke for Assembly, with Benjamin Cleary Directing, the spots were created by Niall McDonnell for Agency Cawley Nea TBWA, where Alexandra Cullen was the agency producer. The spots where then posted here at Screen Scene, where they were edited by Jake Walshe, Donal O’Kane was the colourist, while Allen Sillery and Alan Foley provided the finishing touches on flame, and Peter Greene served as post producer.
