Out of Here

Director Donal Foreman deservedly won JDIFF’s CineTALENT award with his debut feature Out of Here in spring 2013.

Coming second place in the Best First Irish Feature category in the same years Galway Film Fleadh, the film was written and directed by Foreman and produced by Emmet Fleming, with cinematography by Piers McGrail

The plot follows twentysomething year old Ciara, whon reluctantly returns to his hometown of Dublin after a year travelling the world. Now broke and stuck living with his parents, he struggles to reconnect with the ex-girlfriend that he left behind and the friends and social scene that have moved on without him.

Taking us through an atmospheric and authentic vision of contemporary Dublin and Irish youth that the Irish Times has described as “profound, humorous and touching” with “plenty to say about the state of the nation, masculinity and identity”, the film underwent Sound post production here at Screen Scene and Ardmore Sound, where Ken Galvin was the Sound re-recording mixer,  Michelle McCormack was the Supervising sound editor, Eoghan McDonnell was the Sound effects editor , and Garret Farrell was the ADR recordist.
