Scully Was To Blame – Jameson

This global campaign from Jameson Irish Whiskey launched across television, digital, display and social media in the USA in March 2018

Called “Taste, That’s Why”, the campaign re imagines true stories about Jameson and its workers in two stunningly made short commercial films.

The first film, ‘Scully was to Blame’ (seen above), tells the redemptive story of the eponymous Bill Scully. A character on the Bow Street distillery floor in late 19th Century Dublin, Scully makes a a grave mistake during the third distillation in of Jameson, wastes 428 gallons of precious distillate and earning the ire of the local community.

Created by John Kane & Niall Staines for TBWA Dublin, the ads were directed by award winning Dutch filmmaker Matthijs van Heijningen for MJZUK.

Screen Scene’s Commercials department provided on set Supervision and VFX for both advertisements.
