Sensation

Darkly comic love story ‘Sensation’ sees sad sack farmer Donal Duggan (Domhnall Gleeson), a twenty-six year old who seems less a man than a child growing older, dead to wonder, dulled to life, empty of kindness and aching with lust. When Donal meets Kiwi sex-worker Kim (Luanne Gordon), a soulless contract develops into a thwarted romance and finally a story of hard-won self discovery.

Written and Directed by Tom Hall, the film completed Post Production at Screen Scene where Nathan Nugent edited, Aled Jones was the VFX Artist, Garret Farrell completed the final Mix (with the sound edit taking place in Editson BV in Rotterdam), Warren Dowling took care of the DI Finishing, and Gary Curran was the DI Colourist.

‘Sensation’ is an Irish-Dutch co-production with finance from the Irish Film Board, Rotterdam Film Fund, Screen Scene and Section 481.
