Our Sister Company, Observe, covered the high octane 2015 Red Bull Crashed Ice Championship in Sormont Estate, Belfast, on the 20th and 21st of February.

Attended by over 40,000 spectators, the two day event saw some of the world’s best skaters duke it out on an action-packed assault course; navigating sphincter tightening jumps, a mettle testing U turn wall and a 5.5 metre step up in their bid  for glory.

Observe used its flag ship HD1, working with a number of support edit areas and specialist wire cams suppliers to bring viewers incredibly exciting coverage of the nerve jangling ice cross competition, which was the 3rd event of this season.

Televised across the globe on the Red Bull media channel as well as by Broadcasters around the planet, the event was watched by 120 million people. With a crew drawn from Observe and OBStv Irish and UK bases, working alongside the Austrian crew from Red Bull media house, Observe provided 19 camera HD coverage running with a number of EVS XT3 enabled super slo servers.

One of the first productions for Observe as part of the NEP Worldwide Network, President of NEP UK & Ireland, Steve Jenkins, and Observe Managing Director, Alan Burns, visited the Ob site as to see first hand the resources deployed to cover the event and meet the crew onsite.
