Screen Scene nominated for ‘Outstanding Visual Effects – TV’ at this years HPA AWARDS November 1, 2016

For a 2nd year in a row Screen Scene VFX have picked up a Hollywood Professional Association Award (HPA Awards) nomination in ‘Outstanding Visual Effects – TV’ category for their VFX work on Season 4 of Ripper Street.

Screen Scene Visual Effects Supervisor duo Ed Bruce & Nicholas Murphy are joined by Denny Cahill and John O’Connell as listed named nominees for their outstanding work on the nominated episode “The Strangers’ Home”.

Not only did SSVFX gain a individual nomination, they also contributed to two of the other nominated entries in their category — Game of Thrones & Black Sails.

In their role as VFX Vendor, Screen Scene VFX also provided close to 150 shots to the nominated Game of Thrones episode “Battle of The Bastards” (which you may recall took home an Emmy earlier this month) and over 600 shots to season 6 in total.

Screen Scene are currently working away on Season 4 of Black Sails and were delighted to have played a part in last seasons show.

“It’s always pleasing to be recognised internationally with these Hollywood nominations.” states SSVFX Supervisor Ed Bruce. “But to be part of 3 of 5 nominees is especially wonderful and a great testament to our talented crew”.

Massive congratulations to the entire Screen Scene VFX team and to the talented filmmakers behind these incredible shows on their well deserved nominations.

Screen Scene have also been nominated in the category of Outstanding Sound at this years HPA Awards, which will take place at a gala ceremony on Nov. 17 at the Skirball Cultural Center in Los Angeles.
