Screen Scene Editors win Bronze at Kinsale Shark Awards September 27, 2016


We’re happy to report that Screen Scene’s Jake Walshe and Juniper Calder were winners at this years Kinsale Shark Awards.

Jake took home the Bronze for Editing in the Irish Film Craft – TV/Online or Cinema category for his work on ‘Live life on Eir’ (seen above).

Gavin Casey was the Flame Artist on the spot; Hubert Montag provided the 3D; while VO and Sound Mix came courtesy of the inimitable Mick Ellis. Sinead Bagnal was the Post Producer.

Directed by Michael Geoghegan for Production Company Red Rage, the advert was created by Agency DDFH&B. Gavin O’Sullivan was the Copywriter, Paudge Donaghy & Gavin O’ Sullivan were Creative Directors.

Juniper  was awarded Bronze in the Irish Film Craft – TV/Online or Cinema Best Editing category for her work on the moving ‘Focus Ireland ‘Tackle Homelesness‘ spot.

Allen Sillery was the Flame artist on the film; Donal O’Kane supplied the Grade, while Sinead Bagnal was the Post producer.

Aiming to raise money for Focus Ireland’s Tackle Homelessness campaign, the stirring three minute film aired during RTE’S Six Nations coverage in February 2016.

The film shows various members of Ireland’s homeless community recite the words of Ireland’s Call, with help from Jonathan Sexton and RTÉ commentator Ryle Nugent.

Directed by Richie Smith, and Produced by Max Brady for Pull The Trigger, the spot was created by Boys and Girls, where Derek Doyle was the Agency Producer.
