Ed Bruce

VES Award Winning / BAFTA Nominee,  Ed Bruce,  has been involved in visual effects since the turn of the century.

Starting his career as a 3D digital artist at the turn of the century,  learning his trade mainly on commercials, Ed was made the Head of 3D here at Screen Scene in 2006, where he managed a team working on commercials and a variety of films.

From 2007 onwards, Ed has Supervised Visual Effects on many different projects from films to commercials.

Some of the noted projects he has been a Visual Effects Supervisor on include HBO’s Game of Thrones (which gained the VFX team a Emmy nomination & a VES Award for Outstanding Supporting Visual Effects in a Broadcast Program), Albert Nobbs, A Good Day to Die Hard ,  Moonfleet (which received a VES Nomination for Outstanding Supporting Visual Effects), The Last Days on Mars, Lenny Abrahamson’s Frank, and series 1 – 3 of BBC’s Ripper Street (which has earned him an Animago Nomination, three AEAF Awards, a VES award nomination and  a BAFTA nomination).

Ed’s upcoming projects include ITV’s The Frankenstein Chronicles‘, Lenny Abrahamson’s ‘Room’ and the screen adaptation of Ken Follett’s best selling novel A Dangerous Fortune’.

Ed is Ireland’s first Visual Effects Society member and also sits on the Visual Effects Society London Board.
