In 2008's documentary series, Bad Fellas, Paul Williams looked back at Ireland’s history to unearth the origins of organised crime in the country.

The series was produced by Animo TV/ Praxis Pictures with Gerry Gregg the series producer/director. Juangus Dinsmore was the series editor at Screen Scene.

The three part documentary series examined some of the pivotal moments in the growth of organised crime in Ireland.

Telling a story thatstarts in the 1960s and running through to the present day, Bad fellas used the testimonies of eye-witnesses in order to recount seminal moments in the growth of organised crime, as well as examining the reactions to that growth by Government, Gardai, and broader society.
