A group of young orphans discover the true nature of friendship when a strange newcomer's surprising popularity causes jealousy and division.

Set in rural Ireland in the 1950’s, “Cluck” is a heartfelt story of boyhood adventure and high jinks in which the boys soon find their friendship tested to the limit.

The Multi-award winning short film was written and directed by Michael Lavelle and produced by Rory Dungan for Tilted Pictures, was Edited by Nathan Nugent here at Screen Scene, where Niall Brady was the supervising sound editor and Ken Galvin the sound re-recording mixer.

Made as part of the Bord Scannán na hÉireann/the Irish Film Board (IFB) Signatures scheme, the film picked up a number of awards on its festival run, nabbing Best Short Film at the Luxor and New Hope film festivals, as well as the International Jury Award for Best Short Film at the 2012 Ale Kino Film Festival in Poland.
