Stella Days

A small town cinema in rural Ireland becomes the setting for a dramatic struggle between faith and passion, Rome and Hollywood and a man and his conscience.

The Martin Sheen starring gem, which completed post production here at Screen Scene in 2011, was Edited by Dermot Diskin, with Gary Curran completing the grade and the always delightful Simon Thornton serving as HD Finisher.

The sound for the film was posted in both Screen Scene and Ardmore Sound, with Michelle Fingleton acting as Supervising Sound Editor. Michelle Mc Cormack was the Dialogue Editor, while Ken Galvin and Michelle Cunniffe were the Re-recording Mixers. Foley was provided by Jean McGrath and Caoimhe Doyle at Ardmore Sound.

The film received nominations across the board at the 9th Annual Irish Film and Television Awards 2012, including nominations for Best Film, Best Director – Thaddeus O’Sullivan and Best Script – Antoine O’ Flatharta.
